Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Cell Biology

An interior fit-out for the expansion of the Department of Cell Biology was completed in Sterling Hall of Medicine’s newly constructed C-Wing fourth-floor addition. The new 3,000-square-foot laboratory space consists of sizable research labs, a library, and seminar rooms. The scope also included carefully designed electrical systems, a controlled temperature room, specialized mechanical components, and all of the related general construction. With limited available space, mini cranes were used to hoist materials and equipment, and complex mechanical systems were snugly fit into a tight penthouse mechanical space.
