Rothberg Institute for Childhood Diseases
This extensive design-build renovation project allowed for planned growth at the non-profit cancer research facility. Completed in multiple phases, existing space was converted into laboratory research space as well as new offices. The scope included a complete new HVAC installation, electrical system upgrades, computer cabling, plumbing, finishes, and the installation of specialized lab equipment. Fifty percent of the glass was replaced with Firelite glass and fire-rated windows in the corridor to provide viewing in and out of the lab area. An emergency generator was also installed to maintain power for critical operations, and a major portion of the existing roof was replaced.
