Bridgeport Hospital, Parking Garage
Built in 1969, this 500-vehicle garage required substantial emergency repairs due to the concrete deterioration of the top and lower decks. Reconstruction was completed in multiple phases to maintain partial occupancy. Over 1,150 cubic yards of concrete and forty-two thousand pounds of steel from conduit, railings, rebar, and drainage piping were removed and recycled. Improvements included a new lighting control system that shuts off as daylight levels increase and four charging stations for electric vehicles.
